Home Improvement contractor Joe Rogers said that the workshop provided a very informative look at the green products available at 'g'. "Now when I go to install a window, I know the options to offer my clients. Will they want spray foam insulation with formaldehyde or the green stuff?" He was also "surprised to learn that the 'pink stuff' [fiberglass insulation] is just an air filter". He's hoping to be able to sell his clients on going green, and judging from the interested clients he's working with already, he doesn't think it will be difficult.
New homeowner Jody is rebuilding a whole house that is uninsulated and structurally sound. As the remodeling process can be daunting, she turned to the workshop to begin the process. "It's nice to have this resource, especially when the project you're working on is so large. I came to learn about all of the materials out there, as well as the money savings." Working with a house that needs to be better insulated, she found the insulation comparisons most helpful.
When asked if we would see them in our showroom for any of the other workshops in the winter series, they both answered with an enthusiastic "Yes!" In fact, says Jody, "You may get sick of me - I'll probably come to all of them!" To Jody and the rest of you out there - we can only hope that you'll come to the rest of the informative workshops held in our showroom. It's our goal to help you become an informed consumer, so that you have the information to know how to green your remodeling projects, and be able to pick which elements will be best for your project.
