This week's calendar of green events

Calling all building professionals, homeowners and interested citizens:  Now is the time and here is the chance to be engaged in some key environmental issues in your community,  Please read about some exciting green events and meetings happening across the Cape this week!

See below for more information about this event!

Wednesday, March 16th @ 'g': Lunch & Learn Green Building Professional Series.
Focus: Ventilation and Heat Recovery Systems
Location: 'g' Green Design Center's Mashpee Showroom,
Time: 12pm-1pm
Details: This is a workshop for contractors, architects, designers and other building professionals.  A representative from Venmar Ventilation will be leading this discussion on heat recovery systems. Heat recovery units bring huge benefits to indoor air quality as they help control humidity levels by circulating out stale indoor air and bring in fresh air, while conserving essentially all of the heat energy.  A great idea for all residential and commercial applications.  The workshop is free for building professionals.  Call with any questions.  Pre-registration requested - register HERE or by calling (508) 477-7988.

Location: St. Barnabus Church, 91 Main Street, Falmouth
Time: 6:30pm-8pm

Saturday, March 19th: Eco-Toilet Summit
Focus: Human Waste and Why it Matters
Location: East Falmouth Elementary School
Time: 12:30pm-4:30pm
Details: Especially on Cape Cod, human solid and nitrogenous waste is a critical issue, as our water resource is being threatened by residential waste water, among other sources.  This FREE and informative summit is the first of it's kind on Cape Cod.  Moderated by former State Rep. Matt Patrick, be prepared to learn about waste water management options as well as state of the art toilet alternatives, including representatives from Clivus composting toilets, Ecovita, and the Green Center.  This is an event Cap Cod residents will not want to miss!
