Earth Day Celebrations!

With this Friday being Earth Day (although shouldn't every day be earth day, really??!), there is a lot going around in both our Mashpee showroom and the community....and we want to tell you about all of it!

'g' is planning to celebrate in a few different ways.  On Friday, April 22nd we are hosting an Earth Day Sustainable Community Potluck Dinner!  Join us!

Guests (you!) are invited to bring a dish to share - locally grown and produced foods are encouraged of course!  Everyone will be encouraged to join A Billion Acts of Green with live sign-ins to pledge how to contribute to cleaning up our environment, conserving our resources and creating a healthier and safer lifestyle.  All are welcome to vote on the best shared dishes with prizes awarded to the Most Delicious, Most Local, Most Colorful, Most Popular - with prizes from 'g' and local businesses.


The Community Potluck is certain to be a great evening that brings together neighbors, friends - new and old - and engages everyone in their awareness and responsibility to preserving our natural resources. Sponsored in cooperation with FCAT (Falmouth Climate Action Team), you can also learn about how you can become involved in your community.


Then, on April 23rd join us at our Mashpee showroom for our next Homeowner and Small Business green building workshop, focused on Sustainable Landscaping, as part of our Earth Day celebration!  Take a few tips from our guest speaker, local expert Anne-Marie Runfola, on how to make sustainable gardens through composting, native plantings and use of organic fertilizers.
