Communities that value the same things as 'g'.... energy-efficiency, green living, nature and people
July is a month for stoop stargazing, neighborhood block parties and games of pickup basketball in the park. So we thought it would be nice to highlight some communities near our showrooms that are doing all this while also going green!
Cape Cod
Down the road from our flagship location in East Falmouth, Alchemy Farm is exploring the possibilities of cohousing. Alchemy Farm highlights the importance of sustainable agriculture and eco-friendly homes! Check out one Alchemy Farm family's solar south facing house above.
Boston
In Norwell's neck of the woods, Trolley Square in Cambridge is working towards creating a warm, welcoming and environmentally responsible townhouses and apartments right in the city. Designed to meet Smart Growth Principles and with great access to public parks and walking and biking paths, Trolley Square encourages the growth of urban community. Atlanta's University Estates in the Booker T. Washington neighborhood showcases beautiful homes with small floor plans and even smaller carbon footprints. University Estates offers its residents public transportation services to allow them easy access to the many surrounding city attractions. University Estates also incorporate:

Thank you for showcasing these communities! Co-housing and living in sustainable housing is an important way we can support Mother Earth. Portland, Ore. has several of these options as well - and it's something more and more people are starting to consider when making housing choices. Thank you again for bringing this to the forefront!
